Due to a change in material availability the original Prowler and Sledge-Hammer series blanks can no longer be produced. The Sledge-Hammer blanks have been redesigned, but when current stocks of Prowler blanks are used up there will be no replacements.

The fact that I sell a hell of a lot of Prowler Plus rods on the recommendation of my customers tells me that I have done something right in designing it. Unlike most imported jerkbait rods it does actually bend. While there are times when a stiff rod is required, most people prefer the feel that this rod offers. It is still stiff enough to work jerkbaits and has enough power to set big hooks too. Best of all is that fact that once hooked, pike won't bounce themselves off the hooks when using low stretch braid. Another of my rods that has accounted for a number of twenty-five pound plus pike and an excellent topwater rod too. If you are looking to try jerkbaiting for the first time, the Prowler Plus won't scare you off, and will still be a useful tool even if you ultimately develop the urge for a stiffer jerkbait rod.

Simply a Prowler Plus with the butt extended by eight inches. this makes the rod a dual purpose jerkbait/crankbait rod that will also handle larger minnows, bucktails and spinnerbaits. The extra length can make fishing jerkbaits from high banks a little easier. A proven trolling rod.

Following the concept of a super strong blank with a powerful yet not poker-like action the Power Prowler steps up a gear from the Prowler Plus for those of you who feel the need to throw larger jerkbaits. Will easily handle eight inch Reef Hawgs and the like.
